About Our Pastor
Ron Titus was born, raised, and educated in Calvert County, MD. He was saved and baptized in March 1982. He graduated with honors in 1988 from Independent Baptist College in Clinton, MD (earning a diploma in Theology). In 1997, he returned to complete his fourth year. He graduated as salutatorian of his class--earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Theology) in May of 1998.
He served as an associate pastor for seven years at Landmark Baptist Temple, under the leadership of the late Pastor William (Bill) Carnes. After serving there seven years, he felt the call of God to start an Independent, Fundamental, Baptist church. He followed the lead of God and was ordained and sent out by Landmark Baptist Temple to start Corner Stone in Owings, MD. His calling verse is "Hosea 4:6a, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..."
The first service commenced on July 4th, 1993 in the Reid Building (our current facility).
He is married to Joanie. She was saved in 1985. His daughter, Brittany was born on February 25, 1989. At the early age of four, she made a decision to follow Christ. However, on April 26, 2003, she realized her need for salvation and was saved and baptized.
The church is currently in the midst of a building project. Our permanent building will be located at 100 Dalrymple Road, Sunderland, MD 20689.
